Ashique Ali is the Vice Chairman elect of the Sri Lanka Association of Software Service Companies (SLASSCOM) joining the Board in 2017. He has over 30 years of experience in technology entrepreneurship and senior management with extensive experience in international business with partnerships with global IT suppliers and customers.
He served as an executive council member for 4 years at Software Exporters Association from 2005 to 2008, a Founding member of SLASSCOM and served in the board of SLASSCOM for 2 terms from November 2009 to June 2011 during which time he headed the Global Trade / Marketing Forum. He has also been an active member in SLASSCOM’s Capacity, Quality, HR, Entrepreneurship forums during various times and initiatives.
During 2009 and 2019 he served as one of the two Vice Presidents for the Sri Lanka Singapore Business Council (Ceylon Chamber of Commerce), and thereafter as a committee member until 2012. Ashique has been a Committee member of the Sri Lanka Export Development Board ICT/BPO Advisory Committee since 2013, member of the National Export Strategy formulation team.
