Rolana is a development and international marketing professional with 17 years of experience across the telecom sector, the government, and international development organizations.

Rolana is currently heading the International Marketing department at the Egyptian IT Industry Development Agency (ITIDA). She leads the promotion of Egypt's IT and business services industry and communication with analysts and influencers to share Egypt’s success as a regional IT/ITes hub and attract business to the country. She also contributes to the support of the entrepreneurship and startups ecosystem in Egypt, the fastest growing ecosystem in the region.

Prior to her role at ITIDA, Rolana has worked for a number of private and public organizations including WorleyParsons, UNDP, and Telecom Egypt. She holds a BSc. in Electrical Engineering from Cairo University and an MSc in Sustainable Development from University of London.
